MASON, OH – Mars Hill Academy senior Salome Palmer of Mason was named a Commended Student in the 2016 National Merit® Scholarship program. About 34,000 Commended Students throughout the nation are recognized by the program for their exceptional academic promise. Commended Students placed among the top five percent of more than 1.6 million students who entered the 2017 competition.
“Historically, over 20% of our seniors receive recognition from the National Merit® Scholarship program each year,” shares Mars Hill Academy’s Headmaster and Rhetoric School Principal Dr. James Albritton. “The success of our students attests to the effectiveness of the classical education methods. We do not teach to the test but hold true to standards of truth, goodness and beauty grounded in the Scriptures.”
