MASON -- Mars Hill Academy students and staff recently traveled back in time to learn more about the Protestant Reformation.
On October 31, 1517, in Wittenberg, Germany, Martin Luther posted his thoughts about theological topics and practices of the church, known as the 95 theses. His simple action began the Reformation — a movement that changed Western society.
Principal James Waldy said the 500th Anniversary Program helped students in grades 1-6 learn more about the Reformation and its historical context. They rotated through 12 different themed stations, including Reformation dance, Bible smuggling, Scottish Reformation history, printmaking, stained glass replicas, illuminated manuscripts, calligraphy, and more.
Mars Hill Academy is Cincinnati’s only private, independent K-12 classical Christian school. One of only 42 schools nationwide accredited by the Association of Classical and Christian Schools (ACCS), Mars Hill Academy offers a proven educational method used for millennia to build sharp minds and a love for learning.
