The beloved romantic drama centers on an 18th century English gentleman’s wife and his five unmarried daughters. The Bennets’ lives are turned upside down when Mr. Bingley, a wealthy bachelor, and his friend Mr. Darcy take up residence in a nearby mansion. Sparks fly when Elizabeth Bennet meets the proud Mr. Darcy, who disapproves of her family and social standing. Is it his pride and her prejudice…or her pride and his prejudice? Brought together by a series of events beyond their control, the couple must reconsider their first impressions.
The show features 28 Mars Hill Academy students with a double cast for certain roles. Anna Edwards of West Chester stars as Elizabeth Bennet and Jacob Oedy of Lebanon stars as Mr. Darcy. Andrew Cunningham of Liberty Township plays Mr. Bennet; Jolene Estruth of Mason plays Mrs. Bennet; Daniel Taylor of Liberty Township is Mr. Bingley, and Grace Bennett and Rachel Dudley, both of West Chester, share the role of Jane Bennet.
