How to Apply
Admission to Mars Hill Academy is open to all students in grades Pre-K to 12. Mars Hill Academy admits students of any race, color, and national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, or national and ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, scholarship and loan programs, or athletic and other school-administered programs.
Admission requirements for new students include:
- A child entering Pre-Kindergarten must be four years of age by July 31.
- A child entering Kindergarten must be five years of age by July 31.
- A child entering first grade must be six years of age by July 31.
All new students will be tested to determine the grade level and classroom in which they will be the most successful.
If a student is applying for admission in first grade or beyond, please include with the application a copy of his or her most recent report card, a report card and/or standardized test results from the previous year, and a Student Evaluation Form completed by the student's most recent teacher. These may be mailed to Admissions Director Patsy Hall, faxed to 513-770-3443, or scanned and emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Students Entering Grades 7-12
In addition to providing test results and a Student Evaluation Form, a student applying for grades 7-12 must submit a handwritten essay of 1,000 words or less explaining why he or she wants to attend Mars Hill Academy, and provide a written personal reference from his or her pastor.
Parents of Mars Hill Academy students should have a clear understanding of the biblical philosophy, mission, and vision of Mars Hill Academy. This understanding includes a willingness to have their child exposed to the principles of the school’s Foundational Documents in frequent and various ways within the school’s curriculum and activities.
Parents must agree to, and abide by, all of the written policies of Mars Hill Academy. This is most important in the area of discipline and schoolwork standards, as well as active communication with teachers and administration. All parents must read and sign the MHA Parent/Guardian Agreement upon enrolling their child.
After visiting our school, we invite you to apply for admission online. All applications should be accompanied by the non-refundable application fee of $50 per student ($150 family maximum) which includes incoming assessment. Click here to register and apply online.
New families will receive a letter of acceptance or declination by mail promptly after the completion of the admissions process.
When a family accepts an offer of admission, a one-time, non-refundable enrollment fee of $500 per child is required within two weeks. The fee can be paid electronically (with an additional $15 per student processing fee) or by check made out to Mars Hill Academy and sent to:

Class placement is not guaranteed until the enrollment fee has been received in the school office.
Transfer of Records
Once admitted, parents must authorize Mars Hill Academy to request a transfer of records from their child’s previous school using the Records Release Authorization Form.
