Mars Hill Academy seeks a full-time rhetoric-level math teacher beginning Fall 2022. This gifted team member will teach geometry, Algebra II, pre-calculus, and calculus. Applicants should hold at least a bachelor’s degree in math or a related field, display a great passion for the glory of mathematics, and should be able to cultivate a love for math within students. Priority will be placed on applicants with prior teaching experience and who can implement the characteristics of a classical education—Socratic teaching, the integration of Christian faith and learning, and the ability to show how math reveals God’s character in the physical universe. The applicant must also possess a love of students and a passion for mentoring and discipleship. Mars Hill Academy is committed to teaching all truth as God’s truth through the lens of Scripture and a consistent, integrated Christian worldview. Applicants should be able to demonstrate an understanding of and adherence to the same.


Mars Hill Academy seeks a qualified full-time upper school Logic and Humanities teacher beginning Fall 2022. Applicants with a heart for discipling young adults should possess at least a bachelor’s degree in a related field and display the “four loves”: a love for Christ, a love for students, a love for the subject areas, and a love of classical education. Experience teaching in a classical Christian school is preferred. Priority will be placed on applicants with prior teaching experience and who are confident implementing the distinctives of a classical education—Socratic teaching, the integration of the Christian faith and learning with the ability to show how the humanities reveal the nature and character of God.


Mars Hill Academy is seeking a full time Finance and Human Resources Manager to begin in Spring 2022. This role is responsible for all aspects of MHA's financial and human resources services, including, but not limited to, developing the annual budget; managing financial records and books; reporting financials monthly and annually; administering payroll, health insurance, HRA, HSA, 403b, and tax forms; managing receivables; maintaining tuition agreements and collections; and overseeing utility agreements. Applicants with a bachelor's degree, business background, proficiency in QuickBooks, and experience in a small business or educational setting are preferred. Mars Hill Academy anticipates hiring a full-time facilities manager for the 2022-23 school year. Responsibilities will include maintaining standards of truth, beauty, and goodness within the school building and grounds; coordinating all annual inspections, safety drills, and maintenance checks; ordering materials; developing annual MHA workday plans; setting up and tearing down for lunch and special events; coordinating work crew for summer; and working with Highland Council on service jobs.
