SCIENCE AND CHEMISTRY TEACHER FOR 2026-27
Mars Hill Academy seeks a qualified, full-time upper school Science and Chemistry teacher beginning August 2026.
Applicants should hold at least a master's degree in chemistry or a related field and display the "four loves": a love for Christ, a love for students, a love for the subject area, and a love of classical education. Priority will be placed on applicants with prior teaching experience in a classical Christian school and who can implement the characteristics of a classical education, the integration of Christian faith and learning, and the ability to show how God's character is revealed through the study of Chemistry, and science in general. Candidates should have experience teaching chemistry and related math, and a willingness/ability to teach in other disciplines, such as biology or physics. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic, Christ-centered educator whose passion and expertise as a lifelong learner is a model to inspire and engage students.

ATHLETIC DIRECTOR FOR THE 2026-27 SCHOOL YEAR
The Athletic Director provides vision and structure for classical and Christ-centered Athletics at Mars Hill Academy. Duties include but are not limited to: recruiting and developing coaches, ensuring our student-athletes are given the opportunity to compete at an increasingly high level of competition with Christ-like character at the center, making recommendations to the headmaster for improvements in the overall MHA athletics program, scheduling games, coordinating volunteers, and providing clear and effective communication across the Mars Hill athletic program. Volunteer Opportunity: Science Olympiad Leader
Mars Hill Academy is seeking a dedicated volunteer to lead our Science Olympiad teams beginning with the 2026-2027 school year. This role will transition Science Olympiad from a class-day offering to an after-school program.
The volunteer leader will:
- Meet with students after school on a regular weekly schedule (approximately 1.5-2 total hours per week; schedule to be determined in collaboration with the volunteer leader);
- Prepare students for regional and state-level Science Olympiad competitions;
- Organize, coordinate, and lead participation in several competitions throughout the year (some may require weekend commitments and travel);
- Foster a love of scientific inquiry, teamwork, and problem-solving.
This is a meaningful opportunity to invest in students who are eager to grow in scientific knowledge and collaborative skills while representing Mars Hill Academy in academic competition.
