Miss Anna Liebing serves as Mars Hill Academy’s Assistant Upper School Principal for Faculty Affairs and teaches Christendom and U.S. History. A graduate of Mars Hill Academy’s fifth senior class, Anna’s journey has brought her full circle back to the school where her passion for classical Christian education first began.
After graduating from Hillsdale College in 2011 with degrees in History and English, Anna returned to Mars Hill, where she taught grammar school and logic classes for three years. She later earned a master’s degree in British Literature from the University of Edinburgh before joining the faculty of Veritas Academy in Savannah, Georgia. There, she taught logic and rhetoric school humanities, directed senior thesis projects, and coached students in music and speech competitions.
In 2021, Anna followed God’s call to serve with the Rafiki Foundation, moving to Malawi to lead Rafiki Classical Christian School as headmaster. During her five years in Africa, she trained teachers and students in systematic Bible study, classical philosophy and pedagogy, and biblical worldview formation, witnessing the impact of classical Christian education on families, churches, and communities.
Anna believes that classical Christian education, in partnership with gospel-centered parents and churches, is a powerful means of building Christ’s kingdom from generation to generation. She is grateful to return to Cincinnati and Mars Hill, where she looks forward to encouraging students to love and embody truth, beauty, and goodness.
