Mrs. Melissa Liu serves as Mars Hill Academy’s Advancement Support Coordinator, bringing experience in financial services, fundraising, grant writing, and mission-driven nonprofit work to her role.
Prior to joining Mars Hill, Melissa worked as a licensed Financial Advisor before stepping away from her career to stay home with her son. Her passion for classical education began when she and her husband, Frank, joined a classical homeschool co-op, where Melissa served as a tutor for eight years.
Most recently, Melissa served in the Office of Mission Advancement for a conservative Lutheran high school. She also operates a consulting business that supports a pregnancy resource center and medical clinic in Minnesota through fundraising, financial management, grant writing, and oversight of a major building project.
Melissa and her family moved from Minnesota to Ohio in June 2025 and joined Grace Bible Presbyterian Church, where Frank serves as Associate Pastor. They are grateful for the warm welcome they have received from the Mars Hill community and for the opportunity to partner with MHA’s teachers and staff in the spiritual and educational development of their two children.
Outside of her work at Mars Hill, Melissa enjoys traveling, cooking, and learning about organic and regenerative farming.
