Mrs. Jen Martin serves as Mars Hill Academy’s second-grade adjunct teacher. She brings more than a decade of experience in Christian classical education, both as a mother and an educator.
Before joining Mars Hill, Jen spent nine years at Northstar Classical School, where she taught second grade and junior kindergarten. A graduate of Miami University with a Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education, Jen is passionate about partnering with parents to cultivate the hearts and minds of students while pointing them to God in all they learn and do.
Jen especially enjoys helping students become confident readers, master math facts, delight in poetry and Scripture, and develop beautiful handwriting through cursive. She believes the classroom is a place where students can grow in knowledge, wisdom, and wonder.
Jen became part of the Mars Hill community when her family joined the school in 2024. Through serving as a parent volunteer and substitute teacher, she gained firsthand experience with MHA’s curriculum, culture, and students before joining the faculty.
Outside the classroom, Jen enjoys running, Bible study, and cheering on her children at their many sporting events. She also coaches the Middie Striders, a K-6 cross-country team in Middletown. Jen and her family are members of The Oaks Community Church.
