Mr. Kevin Pratt

Fifth Grade

Kevin has had the privilege of teaching in Christian schools since 2014. He was introduced to classical Christian education early in his career when a co-worker gave him a rhetoric textbook, which encouraged him to read more about the classical approach. In the following years, Kevin took private lessons in Latin and attended a training for classical educators at the Logos School in Idaho. The classical and Christian philosophy of education offered a positive vision — grounded in Biblical truth — that Kevin had been seeking. Kevin earned his bachelor’s degree in English at Brown University and his Master’s degree at Harvard Graduate School of Education. Kevin was an assistant coach for girls’ basketball for seven years in the competitive San Diego region. A native of southern California, Kevin enjoys being outdoors and is often hiking with his wife, Lauren. He also enjoys studying theology and playing violin. Kevin and Lauren attend East River Church in Batavia, Ohio.
