With Growth Comes New Challenges
This significant growth is a blessing and a testament
to the flourishing mission of Mars Hill Academy, yet
it also presents us with significant challenges.
We simply do not have enough space to
accommodate the needs of all of our students,
faculty, and staff.
We believe that God designed order, and it is
challenging to maintain this order—and the peace
that comes with it—when our educational spaces
are overcrowded and not operating under ideal
conditions. Our current facilities are being used
beyond capacity.
Multi-purpose areas and conference rooms are
used as classrooms.
Numerous teachers must transport materials on
carts without dedicated classrooms to call their
own.
Students must use standard restrooms and
classrooms as makeshift locker rooms.
Limited parking is a point of great stress to
parents and visitors who attend the large
gatherings and special events we host on
campus.
Office spaces are carved out of workrooms, the
gymnasium, and even the mechanical room.
It is time for us to grow our campus in tandem with
our enrollment. The expansion would allow us to
provide a more structured environment better
suited for both teaching and learning; it is critical to
sustaining our educational environment, ensuring
student success, and continuing to fulfill our
mission.
“For God is not a God of disorder
but of peace.”
-I Corinthians 14:33 (ESV)
