FUTURE MEN
Monday, June 15 – Friday, June 19
9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Mon. – Wed.,
9:00 a.m. Thurs. – 2:00 p.m. Fri.
Ages: Young men, entering grades 5 and up
Each day will be devoted to introducing a different aspect of
development toward manhood and weapon use in the spirit
of the medieval practice of progressing from boyhood to
knighthood. Along the way, we will learn the history of
heraldry, chivalry, and the art of virtue. We will engage in
swordplay (fencing) instruction, archery instruction, self-
defense technique, and shooting instruction at the 22 Three
Shooting Range before embarking on a Thursday afternoon –
Friday afternoon campout at John Bryan State Park. There we
will rock climb, rappel, stargaze, and engage in camping
fundamentals. A camper must have turned twelve years of
age to participate in shooting at 22 Three on Thursday but
may still participate in the rest of the week’s activities if he is
younger than twelve.
