Lydia Frank’s journey into costuming began with a simple yet
meaningful project—sewing clothes for her daughter. Encouraged
by a friend who was a professional costumer, she learned how to
work from a pattern, creating her first dress for Emily. Her passion
for theatrical costuming took off when she stepped in to help with
The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, filling a need that quickly
became a calling. For Lydia, costuming is about more than just
fabric and stitching—it’s about transformation. She loves ensuring that every actor feels
confident in what they wear on stage. But her favorite moment? That instant when a
performer truly becomes their character, often the moment they put on their costume.
Lydia is thrilled to bring her love of design and storytelling to Hello, Dolly!
