fourth-grade Esther play. “This play has made me realize how short life can
be so I should be grateful for every day that I have.” Offstage, you can find
Simeon learning card tricks, reading, and playing outside. “I'm grateful for
the opportunity to be in this play even though I am in fourth grade. Thanks
to my parents for driving me everywhere.”
Kaiya Knodel, Mrs. Julia Gibbs
Junior Kaiya Knodel is no stranger to the stage. Her
most recent roles have included Sally Brown in You're
A Good Man Charlie Brown, Officer O’Hara in Arsenic
and Old Lace, a variety of characters in Tales from
China, and Tzeitel in Fiddler on the Roof. Her favorite
parts of Our Town are the kitchen pantomimes: “I’m
finally living my 1900s housewife dreams!” Through
this experience she has “learned how to play any role
and do a Boston accent.” When she is not performing
on stage, you can find Kaiya drawing, singing, and
hanging out with family and friends. “Thank you to my wonderful parents
who are constantly supporting my brother’s and my passions and activities
with loving and open hearts. I love you both so much.”
Caleb Lang, Ensemble
You may have seen sophomore Caleb Lang in
performances of Tales from China and Treasure Island.
In Our Town, he enjoys the heartfelt simplicity of the
wedding scene. Through his involvement in this
production, Caleb has honed valuable skills in time
management, learning to navigate the demands of
both stage and studies with efficiency and grace.
Offstage, Caleb's competitive spirit shines as he takes
to the basketball court. Caleb extends gratitude to the
cast and crew for their camaraderie and support and
to his family for their encouragement on his theatrical journey.
