Eli Forster (Barnaby Tucker/Stanley), a junior, is no stranger to the
Mars Hill stage. Some of his recent roles include the ensemble in
You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown, Sam Craig and Si Crowell in Our
Town, and Chief Weasel in The Wind in the Willows. His favorite scene
from Hello, Dolly! is the moment in Mrs. Malloy’s hat shop when
Cornelius and Barnaby hide from Mr. Vandergelder. Eli has learned
that to truly bring a character to life, you must fully devote yourself
to the part, without hesitation. Offstage, you can find Eli reading,
playing games, or enjoying Ultimate Frisbee. He would like to extend a big thank-you
to all the parents who helped with the show, as it truly couldn’t have been done
   without them!

Emily Frank (Ermengarde understudy, Ensemble) is a junior at
Mars Hill Academy. Emily’s recent roles include Mrs. Soames in
Our Town, Woodstock in You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown, the
weather man, gatekeeper, and dodecahedron in The Phantom
Tollbooth, and Lucy in The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe. Emily
adores the song “Elegance” from Hello, Dolly! and has found a new
love for dancing—enjoying the process of learning steps and
performing them in front of an audience. When not performing,
you can find Emily curled up with a good book. Emily would like to thank her mom,
the costume designer, for all her hard work, Mrs. Graham for making sure the
choreography is learned and looks amazing, and Katie Cox for designing some of the
set, which has helped make the production come to life.

Seventh-grader Ryanne Franks (Ensemble) has performed in The
Wind in the Willows and Wizard of Oz. Her favorite musical numbers
from Hello, Dolly! are “Call on Dolly” and “Put on Your Sunday
Clothes.” Through participating in this show, Ryanne has learned the
importance of improving her dance skills and focusing on the
director. When not in rehearsal, Ryanne can most likely be found
catching up on sleep. She is grateful for the opportunity to be in this
play and looks forward to performing in future theater productions.
