Ninth-grader Evan Isaacs (Ensemble, Waiter), who is new to Mars
Hill Academy, is participating in his first MHA production. His
most recent performance was in Our Town. His favorite song from
Hello, Dolly! is “It Takes a Woman.” Through this show, Evan is
learning how to read music, an essential skill for any budding
performer! Offstage, you can find Evan at home or at church. He
would like to thank Miss Patrick and Mrs. Graham for their support
and looks forward to bringing Yonkers to life on the stage.
Seventh-grader Abel Johnson’s (Ensemble) past performances
include the Jester in Once Upon a Mattress, Oz in Wizard of Oz, and
Joe Crowell, Jr. in Our Town—his favorite role because it introduced
him to upper school plays at MHA. His favorite Hello, Dolly! song is
“It Takes a Woman.” Through this production, Abel has gained
appreciation for the vital role of the ensemble in bringing a show to
life. Abel’s hobbies include building with LEGOs, reading, or
occasionally sketching. He sends a huge thank-you to his parents
for always getting him where he needs to be!
Seventh-grader Kaden Knodel (Ensemble, Waiter) most recently
performed in The Wind in the Willows as Little Portly and a weasel.
His favorite scene in Hello, Dolly? The Waiters Gallop, of course!
As a member of the cast, Kaden was surprised to learn that you
spell femininity “F-E-M-I-T-Y” and that sharing the stage with his
sister, Kaiya, isn’t horrible. When he’s not dodging trays in the
Harmonia Gardens, you are most likely to find Kaden playing
soccer or basketball, running on the track, or enjoying anything
sports related. He extends his thanks to Miss Patrick for directing Hello, Dolly! and is,
in reality, enjoying this opportunity to perform alongside his sister in her final show at
MHA.
